  1. Boil lentils until soft.

  2. Add bulgur and let it swell.

  3. Sauté onion in olive oil.

  4. Add tomato paste and spices.

  5. Knead and shape the mixture.

Hazel's Note

Knead the bulgur and lentil mixture thoroughly so the patties hold their shape. Add a drizzle of olive oil if the mixture feels too dry.
