About Aunt
Hazel.

Fig. 01 Aunt Hazel in her kitchen, late spring. Illustrated by her grandson, on a borrowed afternoon.
Some recipes are more than instructions — they're memories. Aunt Hazel's Kitchen is a small journal of honest, home-cooked recipes from a village kitchen that smelled of woodsmoke, dried herbs, and whatever was simmering on the stove that afternoon.
Every recipe here started as a short film on Instagram — a reel of real cooking, no tricks, no filters. The reels show what the kitchen looked like; the site is where the recipes live in full. Ingredients, steps, and the small notes that make all the difference between food that's fine and food that's remarkable.
We don't sell anything. We don't sponsor anything. There are no banner ads or affiliate links here. We write it the way she would: simply, carefully, and with a generous hand on the salt.
“The cooking is simple. The flavors are not.”
